Ambassador Kelly C. Degnan joined USAMRD-G Director LTC Matthew Scherer at the fourth annual graduation ceremony and Internship Capstone Exercise for Georgian students participating in the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) - San Diego State University (SDSU)-Tbilisi State University (TSU) internship program. Other distinguished guests included Dr. Amiran Gamkrelidze Georgian National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Director, Dr. Paata Imnadaze, NCDC Deputy Director and other distinguished guests from the Defense and Security Committee of the Georgian Parliament. The U.S. remains committed to contributing to the education and professional development of emerging student leaders, including in the biomedical research sciences.
